May is Beef Month in the Bluegrass

During the month of May, farmers and ranchers across the United States celebrate National Beef Month. A time to highlight the beef industry and the people who make it great.

Kentucky has a rich beef history with the Commonwealth being the largest beef cattle state east of the Mississippi River. We have approximately 1,007,000 head and over 35,000 producers. 

What is so great about beef anyway?
